Sidney Museum Monthly Exhibits
Fifth Annual Lego Exhibit, including models from Victoria Lego Users Group.
Along with the favourite models we focused on the construction vehicles. Star Wars and other favourites were featured.
Gone Fishing A large display of historical fishing rods, reels, fly fishing and very rare fishing lures.
Quilts – Traditional and Modern. Several quilting groups have combined their talents to present a wonderful exhibit of quilts and accessories, featuring traditional and modern styles. This colourful exhibit will be on display until the end of May.
Wood Turning and Wood Carving A beautiful display of bowls vases and ornaments turned in a variety of woods is complemented by a wide variety of wood carvings, from table lamps to ornaments
Miniature Antique Lead Figures An amazing display of hundreds of hollow cast lead figures, dating from 1893 – 1960. Come and see colourfully painted figures of knights in armour, African warriors and wild animals, cowboys and Indians, railways and much more.
Plein Air Painters Beautiful scenes of the Saanich Peninsula are recreated through paintings in this popular exhibit
First Nations Weaving and Artifacts Included in the exhibit is a large selection of cedar woven baskets and carved artifacts both from the local area and from Vancouver Island
Deep Cove Weavers and Spinners Once again these beautiful fibre arts return to the Museum, showing the incredible skill of many local artists. The exhibit for this month focuses on woven and felted vests
A Tribute to the Military During the month of November we recognize the contribution of our military personnel through a display of militaria from both World Wars and more recent conflicts
A Teddy Bear Christmas.
Over 300 Teddy Bears are playing hide-and-seek in Sidney Museum Come and help us find all the different bears. Fun for all the family
